The Trappistines belong to the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance, which is a Roman Catholic religious order of contemplative monastics. Our Order have both monks and nuns, referred to as Trappists and Trappistines, respectively.

The origin of our community is the Monastery of Gedono, in Indonesia, which in 2007 was encouraged to be open to the call of the Holly Spirit and make a new foundation. We started to arrive to Macau, invited by the Bishop Jose Lai, in 2009, and the year of our foundation, approved by the General Chapter of our Order, is 2011.

In this website you can know a little more about our Order and its History, the monastique life, or our daily schedule, among other topics and information. We pray seven times a day and, so, you are welcome to entrust us your intentions of prayer through our Contacts page. We will be pleased with your contact.

We are living temporarily in the former Bishops’ house, near Our Lady of Penha Church.
